I’m not usually big on milestones, but this one felt like it was worth celebrating 💝💫 today’s my five year kidney transplant anniversary! I’m forever grateful to my mum, whose selfless donation turned my entire life around 🫶

It’s so easy to take being alive and healthy for granted until it’s almost snatched from you. While my life as a chronic illness girlie has never been easy, my scariest moments came true when 25-year-old me was put on emergency dialysis, just weeks out from a life changing operation. It’s never lost on me how blessed I am to have back my wellbeing, my spark and above all my freedom 🥺 not everyone’s lucky enough to be able to say the same.

Sometimes with the roller coaster of emotions this journey brings I feel like I’ve lived so many lives, but in reality? Mine hasn’t even begun yet. Here’s hoping for many more anniversaries to come 🙏❤️‍🩹
