Well considering the disproportionate length of time since my last post, this is pretty awkward… but regardless, happy new year everyone! My absence can only be explained by two things, really – laziness and the fact that I just haven’t been doing anything interesting lately. Anyway, since I wanted to break up all the travel posts I’ve been doing lately, I thought I’d do a roundup on some of my favourite new items:
Belt, dress and anorak from Vinnies. I don’t know if it’s because I’m becoming more stingy, but lately retail stores seem so pricey to me (even if things are on sale). Anyway, thrifting is always good fun and I find it’s so much easier to come across nice stuff! Even though it’s midsummer in Australia right now, I’m already looking forward to wearing this anorak when the weather cools down a bit…
Pearl collar that I bought in Hong Kong. It was about $6 which I was pretty happy about, considering I’ve seen the same thing in Australia for $20.
… aaaaand some more jewellery purchases from Colette Accessories. I don’t usually wear a lot of jewellery, but I can’t wait til I can wear this necklace with collars in the near future! I think it pretty much has the perfect shape to wear it in that way.
Skirt and collared blouse from Tokito. Now that I think about it, I should really start buying clothes that aren’t strictly black and white for a change…
Phone case that I bought from the markets in Hong Kong. I really regret not stocking up while I was there, especially since this one’s starting to get a bit dirty now! In addition it’s pretty hard for me to find cases in the first place, considering my phone model’s becoming outdated…
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains in Honey and Precious. The colour of the packaging seems a little off, but these things are amazing! I don’t particularly like wearing lipstick, so I find these are a good alternative. They even smell like peppermint which is just a bonus, really.
Some food photos taken during the ‘heatwave’ a few days ago. Honestly, whenever I go out to eat it’s usually Japanese that I gravitate towards… I really need to expand my horizons and try something different this year! Speaking of new years resolutions I did want to start blogging more frequently, but I think I’ve already failed on that part (oops). I think I should accept that being creative just doesn’t come easily for me, and the best ideas are made when I go with the flow… Anyway, I hope you guys are enjoying the new year, and I’ll see you all in a bit!
